Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to be open on New Year’s Day

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims will again be open on New Year’s Day in 2015 so that tourists and others in Hiroshima over the New Year holidays can visit these facilities. This will mark the third consecutive year that the facilities are open on New Year’s Day.
Both the museum and the hall will be open as usual from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The number of visitors to these facilities on New Year’s Day was 3,238 in 2013 and 3,438 in 2014. They will remain open until December 29, and close on December 30 and 31.
