by Keiichi Nagayama, Staff Writer

On October 25, ahead of the summit meeting of the G7 (Group of Seven industrialized nations), to be held in Hiroshima in May 2023, the Hiroshima Summit prefectural council, a public-private organization in Hiroshima Prefecture, released the first poster to publicize the event.

The prefectural council produced 6,500 A-1 sized and 3,500 A-2 sized posters. The poster announces the schedule for the May 19 through 21 event and also features the official logo of the prefectural council designed with a dove and origami’s pattern, as well as a photo of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, located in the city’s Naka Ward, from the Atomic Bomb Dome side.

The posters will be distributed to a total of 81 groups, including the prefectural government, cities, towns, and companies that make up the prefectural council, as well as elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools in Hiroshima Prefecture, for display. A second and third posters are planned.
