TOKYO, Aug. 3 Kyodo - Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi plans
to visit Pakistan and India from Aug. 10 to 14 for talks with her
counterparts and request the two nuclear nations' cooperation in nuclear
disarmament, government sources said Tuesday.
Kawaguchi intends to meet with Pakistani Foreign Minister Khursheed
Kasuri in Islamabad on Aug. 11 to discuss antiterrorism measures as well as
the nuclear issue, the sources said.
She plans to hold talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar
Singh in New Delhi the following day to exchange views about the nuclear
issue and bilateral economic cooperation, they said.
Kawaguchi is also hoping to meet with Pakistani President Pervez
Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the tour, they
said.
