Edward M. Kennedy (1932- )

Member of the United States Senate. Younger brother of John F. Kennedy, 35th president of the United States. Visited Hiroshima in 1978. Under the auspices of Hiroshima University gave a speech on peace and nuclear disarmament. Strong member of the liberal faction of the Democratic Party, and an active opponent of the Iraq War.
