Steven Okazaki (1952- )

American filmmaker. Third-generation Japanese-American born in California. “The Mushroom Club,” his 2005 film about survivors of the atomic bomb was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2007 his documentary “White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki” received an enthusiastic response both in Japan and abroad.
