Hiroshima Survivors Association to open A-bomb exhibit in Hanoi in October 07/26/01

Hiroshima Prefectural Confederation Of A-Bomb Sufferers Organizations (Director: Kazuto Fujikawa) and Rengo-Hiroshima (Chairman: Takeshi Morikawa) announced on July 25 the outline of the A-bomb exhibit planned for early October in Vietnam. The exhibit will last for about six days in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Hanoi, a three-day exhibit will start on October 9th in the lobby of the Vietnam Labor Federation Building. The exhibit will include 30 Hiroshima/Nagasaki A-bomb photo posters of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation and a showing of the video "Hiroshima: A Mother' s Prayer." It will then move to Ho Chi Minh City, where location and dates are being arranged. The Vietnam War Vestige Museum is a likely location. An exchange with the victims of defoliants used in the Vietnam War is also planned. An advance delegation will visit in August to plan the details.

Tsuboi, Secretary-General of Hiroshima Prefectural Confederation Of A-Bomb Sufferers Organizations, will attend the exhibit as the leader of a group consisting of about ten second-generation A-bomb victims, whose goal is to pass the A-bomb memories to the next generation.
