From a cloudless blue sky, the summer sun blazes down as it did on that day. Beloved family and friends.. An endless line of people have been coming in since late last night to pay their respects to those who lost their lives to the A-bomb. Peace Memorial Park in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City greets the morning of its 61st August 6. They said nothing would grow in the A-bombed desert. Shaded by the lush green trees that symbolize recovery, the aging survivors and the children and young adults who will carry their feelings into the future mourn the victims, pray for their peaceful repose, and renew their hopes for peace.
