our junior writers



Introducing the junior writers.

From the 36th edition we have one new junior writers on our team. Some of our original writers have moved on so there are now 20 contributors in total.

<Yuka Iguchi> new member

My hobby is playing table tennis, although I've just started practicing. As a member of the junior writers, I hope to interview lots of people and write articles that will help many readers learn more about peace.

<Seira Furukawa>

I like going to baseball games and playing basketball. I go to an international school, so I have quite a lot of confidence in my English speaking ability. I'm looking forward to contributing many interesting articles as a junior writer.

I am good at drawing pictures. I won a prize at the "Children's Peace Picture Contest" in Hiroshima in 2007. I'm going to have fun trying hard to do my best.

As a junior writer, I want to interview all sorts of people and write articles that make many more people feel concerned about what happened to Hiroshima.

My hobby is playing board games like Shogi, Othello and Chess. I am good at swimming. I would like to cover war-related issues. I want to find out about stuff that I didn't know before and let the readers of this newspaper know about it.

I want to help with this newspaper in order to convey the tragedy of war and the importance of peace to people around the world, not just in Japan.

I'm so pleased that some new junior writers have joined us at last! I've just started my second year and I want to develop more, take in more, and deliver more than I have up to now.
