This video is the edited version of Mr. Matsushima's talk in Memorial Hall at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on February 21, 2010. Mr. Matsushima's account of the atomic bombing was included in the program of the "APEC Junior Conference in Hiroshima 2010."
Keijiro Matsushima
Mr. Matsushima was born in Hiroshima in 1929. He was 16, and in a building of the Hiroshima Technical Institute (now, the Faculty of Engineering at Hiroshima University) when the atomic bomb exploded. After World War II, he became an English teacher at a junior high school. Since his retirement, he has been actively sharing his experience of the bombing in English.
