Film footage in which the appearance of the former Nakajima District (today, the site of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park) prior to the atomic bombing has been restored through computer animation, was screened at U.N. Headquarters on May 3.

The film runs 30 minutes and was produced by The Film Production Committee for the Restoration of Peace Memorial Park, led by Masaaki Tanabe, 72, the president of a film production company in Hiroshima

An audience of nearly 50 people, including citizens and such government officials as Tetsuro Fukuyama, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Japan, closely watched the film consisting of a detailed depiction of the once prosperous area with its many shops as well as memories provided by A-bomb survivors.
