Hiroshima University, which is experienced in radiation emergency medicine, and the Red Cross, which has achieved much in the area of disaster medicine, will share their expertise. The university is planning exchanges such as deploying students as interns and inviting lecturers and students as part of the “Radiation Damage Restoration Studies” program to be launched next year.

The agreement was signed by Hiroshima University President Toshimasa Asahara and Red Cross President Tadateru Konoe. President Asahara said, "I'm looking forward to working together with the Red Cross to train personnel who can make contributions at an international level.”
