Account of A-bomb survivor in English (2): Keiko Ogura

Ms. Ogura was exposed to the atomic bombing at the age of 8, at a distance of 2.4 kilometers from the hypocenter. Her late husband was the director of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum as well as the secretary general of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation. He was active in promoting A-bomb exhibitions outside Japan. Due to her husband's influence, Ms. Ogura has formed friendships with people overseas, including scholars and journalists. After her husband's death, Ms. Ogura established Hiroshima Interpreters for Peace (HIP) in 1984.
